Poddobon(Lotus Garden)
Inspired from the painting of Pichwai (Rajasthan art ) we designed our collection "Brinda". With the deep philosophical and spiritual connection of our soul is what the idea of our collection stands for. There are many elements or forms of Pichwai painting. Other than artistic appeal, the painting also tells the story of Shrinathji (Lord Krishna) and Poddobon or Lotus Garden is one of the significant elements used in the painting.
We have developed the traditional artistic craftsmanship of Rajasthan in Kantha stitch which is also one of the traditional craftsmanship of Bengal. Thus an amalgamation of the West with the East. As a brand , Gulmohar has been working with handwoven Jamdani for the last two years and sometimes with Kantha but we never had any proper collection for Kantha. This is one of our first capsule collection totally based on Kantha work.

Inspired from the philosophy of Pichwai art of Rajasthan, our Brinda collection has been structured. This saree is depicting the blessings of the almighty and our devotees. Pichwai art is very rich in painting and thus we translated the painting into our design in the form of Kantha embroidery. This collection stresses on the spiritual connection of our soul with the devotees.
Srinath or Lord Krishna is the main artform of Pichwai and it has been surrounded by Kamdhenu, peacocks, Lotus and many others. In this saree we have designed the blessings of Srinath all through the body of the saree in the boxes.
